This course explores the neurobiological underpinnings of major psychiatric disorders, including depression, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, anxiety disorders, and autism spectrum disorders. Through an integrative approach that combines neuroscience, psychology, and molecular biology, students will examine how dysfunctions in neural circuits, neurotransmitter systems, genetics, and brain development contribute to the onset and progression of these conditions.
